I’ve never had trouble with or resented touch screen D-pads ^^; again I am part of the problem I suppose, because it seems by your post that most people hate the things I’m genuinely satisfied with. I hope the general controller-liking population gets things to serve their needs too, though. Thanks for providing the information for what I’m assuming is the majority.

Did not know Tillamook was employee-owned. Their ice cream is great, now I have a reason to prioritize buying from them.

Not sure what qualifies as small-medium. I have appreciated Let’s Game It Out (6.02M subs), ymfah (1.19M subs), Tech Rules (432K subs), MartSnacks (80.1K subs). All focusing on cool gaming content, no being A YouTube Personality who shows their face and tries to form a parasocial relationship with you.
Let’s Game It Out seems to focus on [email protected] type games, maybe [email protected] and tries to mess with or break the game. ymfah takes on some interesting self-imposed challenges in FromSoftware and Bethesda games and I think some of them are really well-put-together and funny, particularly Skyrim No Walking which comes with narrative arcs. Tech Rules explains stuff, kind of a video essay thing. MartSnacks basically has three videos of self-imposed challenges with Pokémon and does not seem to upload too often.
I’m probably part of the problem. I’ve never used a controller except a few times at friends’ houses. I grew up with Nintendo DS, Wii, PC, and smartphone games. I don’t want to ever have to pick up a controller.
As a [email protected] fan I didn’t buy for these reasons but that doesn’t stop hordes of parents or certain fans from buying anyways. If they’re happy, I guess… meanwhile I’ll be fine as long as they don’t go after ROM hacks.
I don’t care about Overwatch but I am happy for the devs and hope this leads to more unionization in the video game industry.
this unironically makes me wonder if there are any games with the gameplay being just painting a wall, especially since I know there is that House Flipper game

I read your comment less as critique and more as “fucking fans who like Pokémon” but I have a history of confusing harsh tone for a negative “you can’t like this thing, because I think there is too much of it” attitude.
Also, your original comment only says “do you really need another fucking Pokémon game?” It’s a statement of you not wanting to see another Pokémon game, but besides making a reach and guessing you think they are producing too many too fast, taking a quantity over quality approach, or that the series has reached its end by now and is being overplayed, it does not provide any actual critique of them. Not even a “the [specific thing in game] is awful” with no more elaboration. So I do not really see critique of ideas, just a statement of dislike.
Huge preferrer of 2D here, will admit the size variations made possible with 3D is a point in their favor for me.
Nope, but fans would like one. If you don’t want one I don’t see what the problem is if you just disengage from the series.

In general, Pokémon ROM hacks are cool and fans of the 2D or old game style like me should definitely give these more attention.
Took me a little to realize Marcus was autocorrected Arceus. Pokémon Marcus sounds amusing.
Absolutely yes. I much prefer the 2D Pokémon artstyle to the 3D models.
Also [email protected] might like this question—kind of saddened to see things that would fit in active niche communities only ever get posted in a giant Games community, but it is also very unfair of me to expect everyone to know every community ever, and you generally get rewarded with more engagement in the big tent communities. Went and crossposted it myself, people answered
