Calling Nine Inch Nails misanthropic probably comes from a pretty heteronormative viewpoint. Trent Reznor definitely hates someone, but he’s bisexual and the gender of that someone is never specified, and at least half the time he was talking about heroin. Definitely got the horny part right though.
