That’s a great way to explain it. Completely takes you out of the immersion every time “Mission Failed” pops up as the director yells “cut!” “Retry and this time stay on the path!”
I’ll never understand why Nintendo hates their fans so much. Just because Japanese copyright law is shitty, doesn’t mean that you have to be equally as shitty.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think there is a law forcing Nintendo to enforce copyright. They willingly choose to be assholes.
Couldn’t agree more with the “outdated mission structure” comment. For a game series that’s supposed to be about doing whatever the fuck you want, it sure is irritating when the game forces you to play the campaign exactly the way Rockstar wants you to.
Nakey Jakey sums up my feeling on Rockstar games quite nicely. I hope R* has the sense to address this issue in GTA VI, but I won’t hold my breath.
(Still going to buy it when it inevitably drops on PC, if for no other reason than to play the eventual SixM multiplayer mod. And who knows, maybe GTA Online won’t have so many dropouts and endless loading screens this time…)
LMAO I’m the one who claimed it (hence why I’m thanking you) 🤣
Edit: After re-reading my comment, I see how it could be ambiguous if you’re not reading usernames (I know I don’t).
For once I’m not late to the party! Thanks for Internet Café Simulator! Never heard of it, but I enjoy sim games of all kinds and it looks fun.
(BTW I downvoted your post, so that other people like me who always miss out might still get a chance at scoring a game, due to lower post visibility. Please don’t take it personally lol)
I’m just not going to buy it. Boom.
If a Switch 2 game comes out that I really want to play (doubtful; I haven’t enjoyed a Nintendo title since the GameCube), I’m pirating and emulating the fuck out of it.
Because Japan’s copyright law is fascist as fuck. Fair use doesn’t even exist there.
Yeah seriously; this won’t even stop normies. Everybody knows how to take a picture with their phone. Why bother?
Next time just use a Switch emulator. Sudachi is a good one.
You can even download Fitgirl Repacks of Switch titles that include the emulator already set up and ready to go. Literally just a one click install and you’re playing.
I literally just bought the game so he better fucking not.
Edit: Jesus, lol; it was sarcasm XD
Again, it’s coming to PC. Every GTA game comes to PC eventually. Rockstar purposely waits 6+ months to announce the PC version, because they know people like you will double dip. It happens every single time, and you keep falling for it.
I’m not saying that Rockstar is in the right for doing it this way, but they keep doing it cause you keep forgetting that they do this every time. The downvotes prove it; none of y’all ever learn. That’s why I’m so annoyed.
It would be cool as a VR game, but I have a feeling that it’s going to be a 2D title, given that Sega can’t seem to figure out how to successfully translate their most successful properties into 3D.
Unless you have no plans to play Online, the money you’ll spend on Shark Cards trying to catch up with established players will far exceed $80. That’s why I stopped playing GTA V Online—I got tired of grinding for cash, just to keep up with the unemployed people who dedicate their lives to one game (I refuse to spend money on microtransactions in any game). Either play at launch, or don’t bother with Online.
It’s coming to PC about a year later; chill the fuck out. You goldfish do this with every GTA release. It’s annoying as hell.
Y’all have been doing this with every GTA release since the very beginning of the series. I don’t know why everyone keeps falling for it. The PC port is coming; it always does. Most likely around Q4 2027, or Q2 2028 at the very latest.
Rockstar does this because people have very short term memories. They’re banking on your forgetfulness so that you’ll buy the console version, and then the PC version as well when they announce it a year later. The Rockstar double dip is their signature move.
Sure. Whatever helps you sleep at night.
OnlyOffice is good too if you want a more modern interface.
This is objectively untrue (I see that you didn’t watch the Nakey Jakey video I posted earlier in the thread).
There was a mission in GTA 3 where you were supposed to assassinate someone. The game wanted you to wait for them to get into their car, follow them for a bit, and then take them out in a secluded spot. What smart players did instead was simply steal the target’s car, rig it with a bomb, and then return the vehicle before the target even noticed it was missing, killing them instantly when they started the engine.
Try to do something similar in GTA V, and you’ll fail the mission for “leaving the mission area”. Older GTAs didn’t give a fuck how you accomplished something, so long as it gets done. In V you have to do everything exactly how the devs intended you to or you fail. I miss having the freedom.
