Ideally, yeah and I hate cars as much as anyone, but if my car broke down I would probably do the same. If the car broke down then that is the one situation that I cannot blame a driver for parking in the bike lane

The thing about freedom of speech is that we are only allowed speech that doesn’t threaten the interests of the oligarchs. If any speech creates a real movement that threatens the oligarchy then the government takes swift action against it (hence outlawing socialism during the red scare)

Yes and no. It is sort of rational and our world would be a much better place if more people cared about the safety of others, so I don’t fault you for being angry, but I think it is helpful to keep in mind 1. that anger doesn’t help you or anyone else (unless you are literally fighting off an attacker). 2. Sress and anger actually erodes your own happiness and lifespan.

Biden winning in 2020 gave us hope that people were realizing that fascists are full of shit and that they lie about everything, but Trump winning last month has shattered any faith or hope I had left in our two party system. It is hard to believe in a system when people are relentlessly assaulted with right wing propaganda year after year and then ultimately vote for a convicted felon pedo traitorous oligarch who denies climate science.
I mostly agree. This is abuse of Presidential power so it is hypocritical for liberals to deny that… But, at the same time, if I were in Biden’s situation I would likely do the same. And here is why:

I disagree. People who live their entire lives being relentless bombarded by consumerist propaganda and pro-capitalist disinformation are not truly free to vote against it, nor were they given the chance. Al Gore cared more about the environment than Bush, but he was still a capitalist that supported car dependency and the military industrial complex.
I think the biggest problem by far is the wealth disparity: the wealthy are pouring billions into pushing right wing propaganda, think tanks, and lobbying every year. Liberalism and Social Democracy has no answer to the rich using their wealth to blast people with endless propaganda and disinformation.
I really wish there were a peaceful path forward, but I am becoming increasingly convinced that nothing will ever improve until we, the people, overthrow the billionaire class. But that will probably not happen until it is too late

Cars are useful in rural areas, absolutely, but cities should primary be built as walkable communities connected by trams, trains, buses and bike paths.
Car dependency is completely unsustainable in the same way that flying your car off a cliff is a flight that cannot be sustained.
