Wait, are you saying adding new trade war strain on an already troubled economy wasn’t the right call???!

So the gameplay still sucks, then eh?
No 4k TV either. I don’t really see the point.
I really hope this is true. The only thing that will stop Rockstar from the delayed PC release nonsense in the future is actually stopping the double dip.
I ended up with a PS4 just for Red Dead 2. But I still haven’t bought it on PC and have no plans to do so.
The thing is, the PS4 kind of made sense because I also wanted a Blu-Ray player. I still have it for that, so a PS5 would be an impossible sell to me. It’s like Rockstar tries to sell consoles but this time around is one of the worst ever console eras.

circuitfarmer@lemmy.sdf.orgto politics @lemmy.world•Who Will Win the Democrats’ Blame Game?0·4 months agoIn my view: the Dems started to see how popular progressive stances were, but their donors didn’t like it. That’s why Bernie got shut down despite winning primaries.
This same logic has continued until now. Follow the money. Pelosi and other hardline Dems are bought and sold.
The way forward is for the Dems to abandon the dinosaurs and embrace the progressive coalition. Focus on bringing in other progressives. NB: most who claim to be progressive in the party currently are, at best, centrists who don’t really know where the goalpost is.
The Dems will not win another election until they choose people over money. I am fully aware that means they just might not win again.
Populism is powerful, and despite Trump being 100% about the money, he has harnessed the power of populism.

Killing the Cybertruck.
With Tesla quality control, a fire is just a bug, until it kills the truck.
Edit: and before an Elon bootlicker comments that it was fireworks in the truck bed – I get it. The joke is based on Tesla’s reputation for poor build quality, and yes, it has that reputation.
circuitfarmer@lemmy.sdf.orgto politics @lemmy.world•Laura Loomer comes for ‘welfare queen’ Elon Musk as MAGA war heats up0·4 months agoThis has crossed my mind as well.
For the moment, I feel like this is real infighting. There must be push/pulls among MAGA. H-1B, for example, is one area where I could see real infighting. You have the rich MAGA (which ultimately runs the whole thing), but you’ve also got the poor MAGA which has been bred on a fuckton of anti-immigrant sentiment.
What might be interesting is (assuming it is indeed real infighting) if the focus on rich vs poor is brought more into the forefront due to this. That certainly isn’t something the MAGA leadership wants.
But holding one’s breath for more/better info is smart, for now.

Starfield would be fine if there was a way to get from place to place without constant reloads. This is a limitation of the (ancient) engine the game is on, as I understand it.
The thing is, we already have games like No Man’s Sky which do this very well. Starfield may have been better received if it came out 15 years ago, but against modern space games, it just sucks.
That’s ignoring anything else wrong with the game, of course, and there is plenty. But I could get over a lot if it didn’t feel like I was playing a menu instead of flying a spaceship at every change of scenery.
