Apps still need mic permissions to do so. Many Android ROMs include notices when the mic is being used, it would be very easy to tell if an app was actually doing this.

I didn’t know that case could fit that many drives! I’m a fan of Fractal Designs cases, have used and recommended them for a few gaming PCs before. Thanks for the recommendation!
Pretty sure they were saying the experience of playing games on Linux is fantastic, not referring to GamingOnLinux. You seem a little obsessed.
I hadn’t really looked into SAS drives, but that sounds like a great option. $5/TB is awesome!
I wasn’t aware of these! I’ll need to check when I have a chance, but I’m fairly sure there’s an open slot, thanks!
That’s a great suggestion, thank you! I looked at a few cases with more drive space but didn’t see any this inexpensive.
Yep, according to Wikipedia they finished the transfer in September 2022. Completely agreed, I don’t interact with anything crypto related, just glad to see it not destroying the environment and raising hardware prices.
I’m not saying nor do I believe crypto is the future, but this project seems to use Etherium and Solana, both of which are proof of stake and will not be using huge amounts of power.
That’s the same thing I was thinking, and I’m really not a fan of the idea.
Is there a proposal to do this that doesn’t gut other legitimate parts of their trading system?
Because PRs have been made for it before and people at the Mastodon organization have made it clear they do not want this feature.
That’s really not how it works, especially in regards to what OP is referring to. Anyone can offer contributions to mastodon, but that doesn’t mean they’ll be accepted. Mastodon has an organization and that organizations has opinions on what should and shouldn’t be implemented. For example, Mastodon doesn’t federate favorites, so you only see the amount of favorites a post has recieved from your own interest. I’d like for this to be changed, and I could submit a PR to do so, but it wouldn’t be accepted.
Neither Deadlock or Rivals are going to beat each other because they are extremely different and play nothing alike. Both games will probably be successful.
I just put the game in ~/Games rather than somewhere in the Wine C drive.
that’s not what net neutrality is
Can you elaborate on how it’s poor in that regard? That’s how I and many of my friends use it, and none of us have had any issues relating to that.
Bluesky is such a huge improvement over twitter and so many people are just ignoring that. Yes, the app is centralized, but you can still host your own data if you choose. Plus, the customizable feeds, algorithms, and moderation lists are all great.
Now normal people have a microblogging platform where they aren’t constantly having fascist propaganda shoved down their throats.
Community-based platforms aren’t receiving as much attention because while Reddit is getting worse and worse, it has not reached the level of enshittification Twitter is at. Most people are still going to keep using it. Twitter on the other hand is reaching the point where huge amount of people are leaving, making alternative microblog platforms very relevant.
Samsung updates, they ruin android more and more with each one. The quality of the ROM an android comes with is a very underrated thing to consider when buying. Pixels are very close to stock android. Nothing is also good, farther from stock but the changes are for the better imo. OnePlus was good last time I had one, but not sure if they still are.
